EVENT: March 21st - International Day for the Elimination of Racism
March 21, 2009
March 21st is the International Day for the Elimination of Racism. Sault Ste. Marie and District Labour Council, in partnership with the Algoma Multicultural Centre, is celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Racism on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at the Steelworkers Hall (68 Dennis Street) starting at 11:30 am.
The public is invited to attend. The Algoma District schools submitted poster and written entries and the winners will be awarded their prizes on this day. All entries will be on display at the event.
Our keynote speaker will be Terry Downey, Vice President of the OFL. Also speaking will be our elected representatives from all three levels of government. After a sampling of cultural dishes, several cultural groups will be performing.
